As a man who loves Chinese food but is very weary of buffets as a whole, my feelings towards this restaurant should be highly valued.
In the first edition of “Local Food Highlight” a sequel of sorts to “Local Music Highlight” I’m highlighting the creatively named Chinese buffet “China Garden Buffet“.
On 6th avenue in Huntington, one block from City Hall, on the corner lies a very clean and peaceful Chinese restaurant. This establishment features all you can eat food, dine in and take out, delivery, and 100% vegetable oil.
Here is a picture of the menu but if I’m being completely honest I have no idea if thats authentic. Despite the several times I have dined here, I have never once needed a menu.
The buffet has 2 sections of chicken, beef, rice, and other standard Chinese foods. Along with a half a section of soups and desserts and then another whole section featuring even more food next to the epic soft serve ice cream machine. Everything is excellent throughout the vast selection available. The only thing that I will say is that occasionally there are non-Chinese based foods upon the buffet that are hit or miss. The “Potato Tots” and pizza is typical a thumbs down from me, but the cheese sticks are always welcome upon my plate.
Take a look at some of these Yelp reviews for more input.
China Garden Buffet is an amazing place to eat due to quality food and not a bad price. It has the quirks of a buffet but really it’s a great place to go and I recommend it for sure.
Overall I give it… ★★★★★★★☆☆☆
