Zelda’s Book Club

My 5 day old daughter started a book club.

The idea of this series is the books that I read to my daughter who can’t understand what I’m saying, I’ll write about. She really just likes for me to hold her and when I read she calmly sits and stares into my soul. Thats why she started a book club, she feels like she needs to inform readers of good books and what to read and what not to read. Culture the masses.

Nine Man-Eaters and One Rogue by Kenneth Anderson

The first book Zelda has ever read in her entire life is called Nine Man-Eaters and One Rogue, which follows tales of these animals and Kenneth’s adventures chasing them. Kenneth wasn’t a big game hunter like what you might think of today, he wasn’t a dentist cuck who hunts on lions in preserves or anything like that. He hunted animals that were wanted for acts like man eating. The great thing about this book is he understands the science behind these animals behaviors and he describes his Indian setting very well. Tigers and other animals don’t just eat people for fun, something happens to cause this behavior change and Kenneth knows this.

On the left is the super cool original cover from 1954. On the right is the stupid reproduction one that makes it look like it belongs in a middle school library. 10 adventures in total are accounted for in this book and each is phenomenal and engaging to read. Zelda and I found ourselves breathless reading word for word for the moment in the first tale where he meets eye to eye with the tiger narrowly avoiding death.

Not only is he bad to the bone, a genius, and a fairly great writer, but he also has a dog sidekick that saves his life on one adventure. This book is great and although Zelda and I haven’t finished it yet, we can assure you that we’re working on it. A fantastic read with a high recommendation, Nine Man-Eaters and One Rogue gets the Zelda stamp of approval.

Thanks for reading guys and I hope you consider reading this addition to Zelda’s Book Club.
