Disney World Vs. Universal Studios

Hello everybody and welcome back to the Mid-America page. Last week I was on vacation down in Florida. My family and I visited the “happiest place on the earth”, Disney World. While I did have fun, it was not the “happiest place”. Today I’m going to compare the two side-by-side.

This is honestly just a preference. Both parks have different style of rides. Disney World has stuck with the traditional style roller coasters, for the most part; while Universal is using virtual reality. The two best roller coasters for each park, in my opinion, is The Hulk (Universal) and the Rock and Roller Coaster (Disney World).

I am very partial towards actual roller coasters, so the win on this one goes to Disney.

Fast Pass System

Yes. I am the guy who will spend extra money for a fast pass. However, at Disney that is no longer a thing. When you go to Disney, you only get to fast pass three rides and you have to schedule it ahead of time. While it is cool that you don’t have to pay for it, it sucks if you’re like me and want to do and see everything in one day. Also, this created astronomical wait times at the park.

Winner, Universal.

Once again, it’s depends on the person. I was raised equally on Disney and Universal so both places were pretty cool to see. However, Universal I felt had more to it and the virtual rides really took you into the setting of each section you visited.

Winner, Universal.

Both will cost you a good bit of money, but Universal is cheaper. There is less ground to cover at Universal, but I still feel like the visuals are better there. Also, food is a lot cheaper as well.

Winner, Universal.

Guys, don’t let this article fool you, both places are extremely fun. If you don’t believe me, just look at my mom’s face.

Which is your favorite park and why? Let us know down in the comments! Thank you all for spending a part of your Friday with me, and, as always, stay tuned for more fresh daily content from myself and the rest of of the Mid-American crew.
